Salvatore MINERVINO

Salvatore Minervino was born in Naples on 8th July 1962.

Married with two children, he graduated in Political Sciences at the University Federico II of Naples.

He subsequently won the competition for appointment to Lieutenant of the Habour Masters and he attended the Military Naval Academy of Livorno. He also attended the Institute of Maritime Military Studies in Venice.

He held various positions as an official of the Harbour Master General Command and in the ports of Castellamare di Stabia, Agropoli, Gallipoli, and Pescara.

In 2012, he took up service in Rome at the Ministry of Defense - Naval Staff as office manager for commercial shipping, and, in the following year, he moved to the Harbour Master General Command.

In 2016, he was appointed Head of the Maritime Department and Commander of the port of Brindisi, in 2018 he was the Second- in- Command of the Maritime Directorate of Lazio, and then, since June 2020, he was the Chief of the Maritime Directorate of Abruzzo, Molise and the Tremiti Islands and Commander of the port of Pescara.

In July 2022, he has been elected Secretary-General by the Management Board of the Central Adriatic Ports Authority, on the proposal of President Vincenzo Garofalo, unanimously approved.
