 Central Adriatic Ports Authority is partner of AIMPRESS project “Adriatic-Ionian Maritime oPeRational Efficiency and Sustainable Scheme”, financed by the IPA Adrion programme and leaded by the Technical University of Crete (GR).

The project main aim is to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and enhancement of energy efficiency in maritime transport, in line with the main Eu policies priorities, through the integration of smart systems renewable energy. In particular, the project aims to modernize port operations, minimize environmental impacts, and promote resource efficiency by leveraging state-of-the-art technologies and collaborative strategies.

In AIMPRESS, the port of Ancona as main pilot case, will contribute to the development of models for the application of 4 technologies, AI-powered Energy Management Systems (EMS), cold-ironing technology, digital shadow technology and renewable energy integration, to demonstrates how ports can modernize their infrastructure by transforming existing facilities into smart, energy-efficient hubs with scalable solutions that benefit both the environment and economy.

The total project budget is 1.586.864,4 € and ADSPMAC budget is € 134.010,00, 100% financed by IPA Adrion Programme funds.
